SIN CITY IS WORTH EVERY CENT!!!

Hands down the best adaptation of a comic book to the big screen ever made!!! Even better than Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman. I dare anyone to try and argue against that!?!?

I saw the flick on opening night, and plan to see it again this week when I can watch it in relative peace in the next time out, away from obnoxious movie goers. Director Robert Rodriquez not only stayed true to the grit & tone of Frank Miller’s Sin City but also managed to successfully capture a lot of the dynamic panel illustrations in the original comics. The cast is loaded with stars, even in minor roles. By far the best translated character of the story was Marv (see pic below) with his ‘tude and wit in full effect, done almost perfectly by Mickey Rourke. Even Frank Miller, who is co-director, makes a cameo in the film. Robert Rodriquez gets major props for seeing this whole project through, especially after making the bold move of quitting the Director’s Guild to help get the wheels moving on this flick. Frank Miller and comic book affectionatos alike should be proud.

Even if you never read the comics I think most people (including fanboys & those who don’t take this stuff too seriously) can get into the movie and (gasp!) enjoy it, if only for it’s aesthetic vision.
FOUR STARS out of Four. Go watch it NOW!

4 out of 4. Well I guess you are a Comic book translation fan. Dude, the BEST part of this movie was the original trailer featuring an instrumental of the The Servant’s song “Cells.”
