I gotta admit, especially since I was never a huge Fantastic Four fan, I think the movie adaptation did a great job bringing this super-hero family to life on the big screen. Sure, as always, there are deviations from the actual comic book, but the spirit is kept intact. I actually enjoyed the overall casting of the film too, even though I initially had a hard time digesting Jessica Alba as Sue Storm — but I like her enough to just let that go.
And certainly anything is better than that crap-cake they tried to pass off back in in 1994; that straight-to-garbage production was an embrassing waste of film. Take your pick of either of the following worthy overviews of that debacle to fully understand what I speak of: review 1 or review 2.
Overall, I thought the 2005 film was entertaining, but I’m more interested to see how Hollywood develops the story in the sequels now that the main characters have their origins established. I could see Namor in the second film or Galactus and the Silver Surfer an then for the third the Skrulls could appear!!! Remember folks, the FF were quite often in space so naturally this should be a setting for one of the sequels.

Still haven’t seen it. Don’t know if I’ll get to it in the theatre. I’ve heard both good and bad things about it. I’m sure it can’t be as good as batman begins though.
