The Afterglow of New York

After spending the past 5 days back in the Big Apple I got to reflect on the latest visit back to my hometown. Inspired to attend the wedding of my childhood friend Jasmine I got to reconnect with Gabriel and the Odens as well as spend some time with the family most notably Nelly, Estela, Bobby and his cats, all up in the ol’ neighborhood. Kathy was originally suppose to be my date for the wedding but got stuck having to work that day, so we just chit-chatted at the Underground Comedy club for a bit. I ran into Douglas a few times while chilling at some of my mom’s old haunts, and it basically evolved into chilling with complete, but very kool, strangers every other night. Hands down some of the best fun I’ve had in a long while. I even randomly reconnected with Anna who I first befriended 5 years ago, yet we grew up right across the street from each other but never meet prior to our early twenties. Weird.
