Black Man’s Flask

While hanging out tonight with my little bro Bobby watching his buddy Sam & his Jazz troupe perform at a Queens cafe, I befriended a kool kat by the name of “Bags” and he was nice enough to share someof his 13%-proof wine with Bobby and myself. The wine itself was very tasty but what struck me odd about it was the fact that it was coming out of a carton. I swear it looked a black man’s flask and Bags just quipped “y’know, who you telling?! Only us black folk know about things like that.”
Werd homie.
But Sam & his Jazz mates can jam, and from I was told they get down even more than what they showed. Sam even composed a song in Bobby’s honor passing out the liner notes while also performing the upbeat tune at the cafe. It truly was a mellow time, with Bobby introducing me to his sophisticated side while eating a delicous banana & chocolate crepe. Even my introduction to Primo wasn’t smeared by the fact that within seconds he just spilled water all over the table and onto myself. That’s what good jazz does…it brings people together. It even had one of the band members offer Bobby and I a ride back into Manhattan. Thanks holmes for the lift!
