Vinny and the Jets

Kenny and Bobby invited me to attend my first ever live New York Jets football game out in the Meadowlands, and boy does this team attract a way different crowd than the Giants do. As we were entering Giants stadium the teams were conducting the begining of the game in which crazed Jet fans exclaimed: “YEAH!!! We won the coin toss, WHOOOAAA!”

It was a very charged atmosphere to say the least.

The day was overcast but not a drop a rain fell once during the game as the home teamed played host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Jets handed them their first loss of the season by the score of 14-12. Sage, though quite for most of the game, seemed to be enjoying himself as was Bobby and Kenny. And we had some great seats too, sitting very close to the field seeing things very cleary and hearing the loud crowd chants of J-E-T-S, JETS!, JETS!, JETS! among other crowd enthusiasms. It was Vinny Testevarde first game back playing for the Jets and the crowd gave him a standing ovation when he walked onto the playing field. Even this little kid had a homemade replica jersey created in support of Vinny.
