Virtual Gaming in Burbank

I dropped in on Rick & Steve while I was down in Los Angeles during Thanksgiving weekend. They introduced me to a line of Japanese video games that uses a motion sensor allowing for some truly interactivite gaming. Their buddy Mark was also chilling at the pad and playing games with plenty of “PISS!” exclamations over the goofier aspects of the games. Later on in the evening we were graced by the presence of Jeff, the next-door neighbor. And as much as he tried to Bill Rude couldn’t keep a low profile …but that’s why we like ‘em.
Anyways, the games we played ranged from boxing, dancing and moving colored pebbles into pipes. And of course I sucked on everyone I tried to play, but Rick was solid in his skills, trumped only by Steve. Angela took me down in the dance-off effortlessly with her superior rhythm. But it was BILL! with the highlight freestyle dance moves that had us rolling all night (see the video clip below). The fun we experienced that evening is the stuff of legends.
Below are some videos of the tomfoolary that commenced while playing these high-tech video games:
- Angela Dancing - 10 sec. (3 MB file)
- Bill Dancing - 18 sec. (5 MB file)
- Bill Fighting - 17 sec. (4 MB file)
- Rick Dancing - 135 sec. (22 MB file)
- Rick Fighting - 25 sec. (7 MB file)
