For the past few days I’ve been settling into my new home here in the South East side of London. It reminds me of Harlem from way back when, and led me to wonder why does it seem that every art school has it’s campus & facilities in runned down parts of town, even abroad!? I’m not complaining though, and I certainly don’t feel out of place here; in fact I kinda of prefer it as it helps to keep things in perspective as that the problems of the ghetto is truly world wide.
As I moved in to my “flat” I was greeted and assisted by the very charismatic building manager Julian who quickly showed me on my first day here where the party flat called “Happy Days” was at. Julian is a very witty Briton and wasted no time in showcasing his talent in this department — a very likable chap he is. He also introduced me to Matt who would later invite me to hang out with some of the other Ewen Henderson building residents over some pints at a local pub up the street called Hobgoblins, which I can already forsee many more outings to this place.
