“The climate is crashing, and global warming is to blame.”
I just read this article in Time Magazine about the effects of the Earth’s rapid climate change that is currently underway, and it’s a damning article to say the least. Whoever is still denying that humans aren’t actively acclerating the degradation of the environment are either naive or trying to sell you something. Well, whatever the causes, the fact is that mother Earth’s temperature is heating up quickly and that spells big problems for all of us, including the millions of other species that inhabit this world. The only question now I guess is what, if anything, will the U.S. government do on it’s part to help reduce and regulate the damage that’s currently being done? What about other countries such as India and China? Obviously, something has got to change, and fast, if we as a species want to ensure that the only home we’ve ever known doesn’t turn itself against us for not being better custodians of the planet.
But my real concern is: how many of us out there are actually willing to give up our “creature comforts” in order to preserve the Earth’s vitality? Or are we destined to soon become the next dinosaurs?
