Made it, barely…

After two brutal weeks dealing with the set back of indefinite loss of my computer I struggled to get my first major MA project completed by todays’ 11am imposed deadline. It was accomplished with a lot of sleepless nights, workarounds and tenacity. But the biggest reason for my ability to meet the hand-in date was due in no small part to my classmate Dimitri and his flatmate Sabika . Dimitri was generous enough to let me use his computer (and printer!) for most of the past 4 days while he still had his own work to do. Sabika helped me proof and type up my essays, despite her trouble navigating through most of my chicken scratch. These two were nothing short of angels during all of this madness, to which I can never be grateful enough because I would have surely missed the deadline without their help.

As for the work itself it wasn’t as strong as I would have liked but I completed all the requirements. I really don’t want to use the loss of data as an excuse but it certainly didn’t help that I had to recreate a lot of the work I lost when the computer crashed. Next week I’ll get word back from the assessment by my tutors and see how well they thought I did overall. In the meantime I’m going to pass out for the next couple of days and catch up on some much needed sleep.
