Filed Under: Adventures & Travels, Snapshots

After many years of settling for reading just recaps of his adventures in Europe I finally was able to catch up with fellow MCAD alumn John Campbell for a little face time out at his current abode in the Czech Republic. And yes, he’s doing quite well for himself, looking great and is charming as ever.
We initially meet up in Old Town Square by the astronomical clock the first night I was in town, and he showed me around the next few days making sure I tried some traditional Czech food along with some site-seeing through off-beaten paths of the city. Good times playing catch up with this fella.
I also had the pleasure of hanging with his flatmate Jose who’s addicted to anything Robot Chicken and Gnarls Barkely. An all around swell dude, I was luckily enough to bear witness to his farewell homage to a plant one evening. What a night it was indeed, with plenty of pivo consumed, bar hopping and other late night mis-adventures.
Prague is a real gem of a city, unspolied by development and beautifully scenic. Craftmanship and character can be seen everywhere from the marionettes on sale, to building reliefs
to headstones, to pivo being poured. And a much more relaxed pace of life, a breath of fresh air really. I almost didn’t want to leave that’s how seductive Praha is.
Highlights of the trek include:
001. Surviving rounds of abysinthe
002. The Dancing Building
003. Prague Sunsets
004. Wooden Breasts
005. Getting lost locating the Mucha Museum
006. Pizza with corn
007. Seeing Michael Douglass everywhere
008. Walking over the Charles Bridge
009. Pivo
010. Prague Castle
