LeBronze

That’s what I’m calling LeBron James until he is on a gold medal winning squad from the United States.

James & the rest of Team USA settles for yet a second straight bronze medal in international competition. At least they avenged their loss to Argentina back in 2004 and knocked them out of a chance to win a medal.

By losing to the Greek national team over the weekend the U.S. squandered a chance to at least play for the gold. I’m sure to the delight of my greek classmates, their home team played a solid game from start to finish and certainly earned their victory over the United States, no questions about it. Even though the Greeks exposed the weaker points of Team USA, I still remain optimistic that we’re getting better at playing non-NBA basketball on the world stage.

In the meantime, Team USA will now have to play in another world tournament next year to qualify for the 2008 Olympics. They really need the practice anyway.

U.S. is still taking these competitions lightly. While LeBronze & Co. are out on the town, the other teams are planning shit out. I bet the U.S. players couldn’t even name half of the other players. The U.S. is loosing so much ground all across the world, not only in bball but many other things. I’m moving to Australia.
