All the Crocodile Hunter ever did was love & care for animals in the wild and raise global awareness of the need to protect our wildlife. A freak accident by the sting of a stingray left him dead yesterday. Truly a sad loss for every creature here on Earth.

It wasn’t JUST a stingray. It was a stingray gripping two great white sharks and straddling a saltwater crocodile. He was larger than life and his legacy will be great. Still, a part of me wonders how Steve Irwin could be laid low by a stingray (maybe a mutated outer-space stingray?) yet Steve-O continues to live.

When you jump into the water after a Sting Ray, and swings it barb toward you in self defense because it is surprised is not a FREAK ACCIDENT.
