Daniel Craig takes the lead role in 21st installment of the James Bond film franchise, which debut last month, and it was only just recently that I finally got to the theater to see it, along with Sara & a super excited Spyros (“James Bond, James Bond, JAMES BOND!!!”).
I thought the movie was really good from start to finish. The opening credit graphics were very kool with playing card elements flying all over the place and silhouettes of the cast prancing about. The cinematography was well done, with some nice grainy flashback effects and tight camera angles. The action in the opening sequence was high octane and of course the Bond girls were just amazing. Most importantly the story was solid and Daniel Craig did a good job I felt as the new 007.
Lastly, it’s worth noting that this is the first time I’ve ever had the opportunity to watch a new release of a James Bond film here in England. There’s something inherently kool about that. Can’t wait for the sequel in 2008. In the meantime, it would be interesting to hear from those that saw the film weigh in their thoughts about the new Bond and if this one, a prequel or sorts, is one of the best 007 films made to date. Thoughts or comments anyone?
