I tried my best to get down to the River Thames to ring in the New Year and watch the fireworks over London’s skyline but Sabika & Dimtiri made sure we were just late enough to enjoy the view from the butt-crack side of the Waterloo bridge. *ugh* And strangely enough we got into a brief chat with a couple from Los Angeles. Small world.
After the light show we spent over 2 hours walking around London to find a pub that wasn’t a) crowded and b) moderately priced… we ended up all the way to Holborn and somehow had the stamina to walk back down to Charring Cross station. My ass feels really firm now.
But yeah, next year, I’ll be much earlier as I know better now where to be to get a good view of the action.
