Although not bad, I didn’t quite enjoy this third chapter in comparisson to the other two “Pirates of the Caribbean” films. It seemed much more thin in the overall plot this time around and the use of Chow Yun Fat’s character Captian Sao Feng was disappointately under utilized.
Despite it’s 3 hour run-time, to it’s credit, it didn’t feel that long and I enjoyed the epilogue after the end credits. Geffory Rush & Johnny Deep reprisal of their pirate roles help to keep the movie afloat, along with some amusing banter between the two, but that’s about exciting as it ever got. The character development of Will Turner & Elizabeth Swan was interesting but not too surprising when said and done. Lastly, the visuals were good, but nothing really stood out this time around. Certainly not as good as the first movie, or even the sequel.
