Mi Cumpleaños

Today is that time a year I celebrate yet another successful trip around the sun. And it’s the first birthday I’ve actually spent back in New York in over 10 years!
Last night I chilled with some friends on the Upper West Side putting back plenty pints of Guinness over at the laid back Evelyn Lounge. It was a mixer of new skool & ol’ skool with my entourage being comprised of peeps from early childhood, high school, college and grad school. I drank to my hearts content without once having to visit the porcelain god, thankfully. Mom would be proud 
This morning I woke up to the ritual chants of my grandma’s “Feliz Cumpleaños” and seeing Linda, Kenny & Sage shuffling about. Around noon today I was treated to a brunch outing with Nelly & Juan up over at the Cloisters near Fort Tyron Park and the weather was nothing short of perfect for being outside. I then took a tour of the medieval museum and afterwards strolled around Heather Gardens for a brush with nature and to absorb scenic views of the Hudson river.

ahhhh- sorry joe i couldnt make it- looks like you had lots o fun. you guys look great in that pic- i had serious flashbacks when i saw it. i wish i could have been there. where was abe? anyway, i spent my night resting up for the nearly dying patient i had on sunday… it was hell. let alone, i had another patient bleeding from his penis- non stop and screaming in pain. i couldn’t take it… i told him to stop being such a whiner.. hahaha… just kidding, although i was thinking it… i need a few drinks now!
