— over 400,000 people dead.
— 2.5 million displaced.
— Mass rape and bombardment of villages.
It’s heartbreaking to know that after three years of the United States declaring that genocide is taking place in the Sudan, people are still dying and being targeted EVERYDAY in that country. If that was happening here in the grand ol’ USA, or anywhere in Europe, you bet your ass the public would be in an uproar over these human rights atrocities and demand immediate action to end the violence; so why should it be acceptable when it happens in other parts of the world?!
I’m just an average Joe-citizen like everybody else, and I’m dead broke these days too, but I did sign an online petition and donated what I could to help put pressure on both the U.N. and U.S. to act quickly to end these crimes.
It doesn’t seem like much, but every little bit helps and I hope all my friends and family that are reading this now will take the next 5 minutes from their busy lives to take action and do what I did, because no one on Earth should have to live through another holocaust.
