Arizona Chilling

I arrived into Phoenix this morning on a red-eye flight to hang out with my mom in Arizona desert. She picked me up along with her friend Debbie, who’s quite a hoot, and we made a pit stop at IHOP, my mom’s favorite breakfast place. But the chain smoking between them two was killing me, as per usual. Sorry, that’s just the truth.
On the way to my mom’s house we passed the Golden 9 which featured “fish n’ chips” on their huge boot neon sign. I just thought it was funny about the prospect of British food being out here.

It’s been a couple of years since I was here last and after some signs of nippy weather back in NYC the timing was right to head out to the southwest and enjoy a little more sunshine before winter kicks in on the east coast. I’m in ‘Zona for a week so it should be fun and we’ll see how productive I can be while mobile.
