Earth in HDTV

The Japanese space program JAXA just released this HDTV image of the Earth rising above the horizon of the Moon. I think it looks super kool, and it’s interesting to me that from this particular vantange point that Australia is facing north rather than south. Our perspective is always relative, isn’t it?
The Kaguya orbiter, formally known as SELENE, is the 2nd mission to the Moon by Japan and it’s main mission objectives include stuyding the origins of the Moon and its geologic evolution.
