Knicks game at MSG

Believe it or not I’ve never watched the New York Knicks play at Madison Square Garden before, so today was the very first time I got to do so courtesy of Bobby. The Chicago Bulls were in town and they’ve been having a crap year themselves just having recently fired their head coach Scott Skiles. And that’s what some Knick-fans would like to see happen to NY head coach Isiah Thomas, in fact you can’t even go into the Garden without seeing guys selling “FIRE ISIAH!” t-shirts right outside.
It’s bittersweet to finally watch a live Knicks game at MSG. I remember when you could never get tickets because they were ALWAYS sold out, circa most of the 1990’s, but my have times have changed and now you can’t even give away Knick tickets these days because they suck so bad. Currently they have the third worst record in the weak Eastern Conference.
Being a Knick fan is tough these days. The Knicks trailed by ten most of the game, and ultimately lost by 18 points. Ben Wallace had his trademark ‘fro out in full force while Stephon “ball hog” Marbury was in attendance but didn’t play, probably due to still grieving after the recent loss of his father.
Jason was hanging with me so we had fun talking smack during the game and jawing with the eye-candy all around us. The ladies sure do come out in full force at a sports game I tell ya.
