Gocco Heart Prints

As a kid I used to love those heart shaped candies that were always popular around Valentine’s Day with cute sayings like “Be Mine“, “Luv U“, and “XOXOXO“. But recently I started to think what if you had a completely different context to those candies and instead said some racy things or, even better, used the format to express bitterness towards a current or past person of your affections?!

Well, that’s what these recent prints I made with my Gocco kit do. There’s three designs with twelve sayings based on three themes: one is sappy, one is bitter, and the other is naughty. Unfortunately my DigiCam is currently on the skids so I borrowed my cousin’s Minolta and the image quality isn’t the sharpest but you get the idea I’m sure.

I made a limited edition of 36 prints of each of the three themes for 108 cards in total. They also function as postcards with space reserved for a stamp & address on the back. In the meantime, I’m interested in hearing what other sayings people can come up with in this Sappy/Bitter/Naughty format, the shorter the phrase and more subversive the better. Fire away!
