Today I meet up with a busy Lainie Liberty the former art director at >en over at her studio. She runs her own design firm Jungle 8 studio and has been doing well for herself over the years taking on design projects that allow her to flex those creative juices and at the same time reduce her carbon footprint on the Earth. I even went with her to pick up her new ol’ skool car that she bought just this morning and plans to install the parts needed to run it on vegetable oil. Always a step ahead this one.
After taking a quick tour of the studio and offering an assortment of Diddy Riese cookies I picked up in Westwood to her and her staff, we chatted for a bit catching up on things. I can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years now since we all worked at >en; she was my first boss out of college and I was very fortunate to have that honor as I learned a lot working in her interactive group and had a ton of fun along the way. Sniff, sniff… those truly were the good ol’ days of the dotcom craze!
Even more astonishing than that trip down memory lane was seeing how big her son Miro has grown, becoming quite the creatively active and expressive young man at just the tender age of 9! Wow. Time sure does fly.
