The Arsenal

Yesterday was my last night in Los Angeles so I made it a point to gather most of merry compadres over near Santa Monica to spend some much needed face time and general tomfoolery with folks I haven’t seen in way too damn long.

The first stop for me, Rick & Steve was to pick up Carli out in Hollywood, whom I befriended recently online via Rhoda Lazo (another former >en refugee) and we were all meeting her in person for the very first time. EXCITING! After scooping her up we headed over to West L.A. to grab some eats where we meet up with Kelly & Nic who made it up all the way from Dana Point to join us… they’re really too kool for words!

However, since it was crowded at Don Antonio’s (an estimated hour wait for a table, me no think so) we opted to go next door instead to Talpa’s, another inexpensive Mexican restaurant to have our dinner. That’s when Bill Rude popped in on the scene and we promptly began talking smack about Tontrell’s flakey butt as well as getting an update on Brad’s new girlfriend. After grubbing on some yummy taco’s and burritos, we headed across the street to one of my favorite haunts the swank Liquid Kitty for a round of drinks, where Matt Meyer and his girlfriend meet up with us. Before we left the lounge our posse was already 9 people deep!

The grand finale was set at The Arsenal where an eager Reid, Diana and Rose were already waiting to join in on all the action. Linda, Claudia & Chad were having way too much fun by themselves, but eventually got the rest of the crowd into their mix, not to mention all the smack talking that was going around between the four of us. Even a Wolverine looking Jared graced us with his presence representing THUNDERCATS, HOOOOOO!

Man, it was a GREAT TIME seeing all my L.A. peeps and cutting loose for the evening. I had a blast last night and I truly appreciate everyone making the effort to drop by, even if only for a little bit. I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends. Really.
