I really despise that tacky rag of a “newspaper” called the New York Post but oddly enough I got quite a chuckle out of their cover story caption earlier today regarding current New York Governor Eliot Spitzer being caught in a sex scandal. It’s ironic, since he is known for his tough anti-corruption stances including breaking up a couple of prostitution rings and yet here he is caught in the middle of one now. Ouch. And the sadden look on his wife’s face (pictured left) seems almost bottomless… poor chica.
FYI, in less than 24 hours since the story broke, Busted Tees already has a Spitzer spoof t-shirt ready for purchase. Man, how do they manage to turn that stuff around so fast?!

Oh, and yeah he officially resigned his post as governor today effective on 3/17. Guess there was really no way around that one.

The really story is the wife. If it were me, I would never have stood up on that podium with him.
Barbara
btw, that shirt is effin cool
Chad
The tshirt should have an $80,000 price tag attached to it.

That t-shirt is genius, ain’t it?!
BTW, I live in NY state and I could care less about all of this in general. Certainly, the news itself doesn’t warrant all the media coverage it’s currently getting, but I’m sure Spitzer’s political enemies are having just a ball with this one.
But could it also be that it’s kind of a national advert for a job vacancy if Hillary Clinton ends up not getting the DNP nomination for President? Just a thought…

Pffffft… dude, that’s so not the girl. She’s like Divine Brown’s cousin or something.
Chad
I don’t think she’s worth $4k an hour. But she’s really into music and she needed to pay the rent in her flat iron district apartment. How about you don’t boink strangers for money and live in Brooklyn like the rest of us. Or at least in your Grandmother’s apartment in the upper west side.
Chad
Oakland/Alameda is the Brooklyn of San Francisco, and I like it way more than the “city”.
Barbara
Whatever. *I* like the “city” way more … I don’t care who I have to sleep with to pay for my Hayes Valley flat …

The “Brooklyn” you’re thinking of is Williamsburg, and that place is gentrifi-tastic, unless you’re into being an avantgarde hippie. Actually Newark, NJ is more akin to Oakland, all dumpy as hell too… just ask Jason Kidd he’s lived in both places. Besides, why would you settle for 2nd best when you can live in the heart of it all? Unless of course you need that softer, gentler, “I wish I was hip, but can only afford this” lifestyle.
Also, apparently the $4,300 Spitzer dropped on “Kristen” included payment for a couple of future TBD hook ups. Even my grandmother thought he got taken to the cleaners on that one.

HOLY SH*T!!!
Chad you rascal you’re right, THAT IS her MySpace profile! My goodness, how surreal is that? I love this quote on Ms. Dupré’s page:
“what destroys me, strengthens me.”
Clever. But how about this one from, say, Eliot Spitzer:
“You, Me & Dupre.”
I wonder how long it is before she decides to take it down to “rebrand” her image. In the meantime go read her blog’s colorful comments while it’s still here.
