Gravatars

So, as some of you already know I’ve been pushing my friends along to finally sign up for their own Gravatar. Why? Because it’s a fun way to add some flavor to your contributions made here in this neck of cyberspace, kinda like a “so and so was here” sort of thing. But also because it’s nice to look at a more interesting picture than that blank “Mr. Smith” default icon all the time. Yes, there’s some self serving purpose in all of this I admit, but also, aren’t you more than just a generic image I ask?!

Anyhoo, what is a GRAVATAR you ask?

It’s simply an 80×80 pixel icon that you use to represent yourself. No different in concept than a profile pic you’d use in Facebook, MySpace, etc…

You like that, eh?! So how do you get one?

It literally takes just 2-5 minutes to setup.

Just go to the Gravatar.com website and sign up using the email address you normally use to post comments on the blog here with. You’ll shortly be sent an email confirmation weblink, click on that URL and then begin to upload your new gravatar icon on the ensuing webpage. That’s it. You’re done!

It’s that easy?
