El Cantinero

Following up on last summers’ get-together over in Jefferson Park a bunch of us former Manhattan Center folks got together for an “adult themed” night out over in the the west village and without the kids around us grownups could, well, be kids ourselves!

It was great seeing some familiar faces again, to hear how everyone was doing and just catch up in general. I brought a scrap book of all the photos I still had from our senior year and compiled it by the various events held throughout that year, including some graduation pictures, and it seemed to be a big hit with everyone.

I haven’t seen most of these folks in well over a decade so it was really nice to get together again and I appreciated everyone who was able to make it out. Plenty of jokes cracked, gossip, dancing and pleasant trips down memory lane made the night fun and seemingly too short. Savior these moments my friends, as there’s nothing like the present. But thanks for reminding me of our rich past.
