Aimee, a Squid, and the Whale

Courtesy of her sister Sandy, Aimee & myself made a trek over to the American Museum of Natural History earlier today for a healthy change of atmosphere and to conduct some chit-chat for a spell. I actually wanted to check out the Cassini-orbiter photo exhibition they had featuring all the latest hi-re images of the Saturn system, so we saw that first before wandering around the rest of the museum. Our last stop was at the great hall of marine animals and fish, along with that gigantic life size scale model of a blue whale suspended from the ceiling — no matter how many times I see the 25+ year old installation somehow it still manages to fascinate me … must be the scale of it all.
