Hanging with Tom at Tom’s Restaurant

Tom DeBiaso

After a few months of exchanging emails I managed to arrange a date to meet up with MCAD media arts professor Tom DeBiaso during his spring visit to New York. It’s been quite a few years since I last saw Tom but he has always been a good cheer with me and a vibrant source of encouragement during the course of my professional development while I was student, even helping me land an internship with Mike & Larry over at the famed Popular Front Studios.

We meet up over a light breakfast at Tom’s Restaurant, a dinner here on the Upper West Side made famous by the hit T.V. show “Seinfeld” and discussed topics ranging from MCAD-related news, to tall tales of Larry legend, to general news about each of our current respective projects. Tom looked great, is a grandfather now and is still the notorious shutterbug. Our meet up was way too short but I was thrilled nonetheless to have had a chance to catch up with Tom and hear how well he and MCAD are still doing.
