  • PJ Chmiel: The only way to tell if the bulbs are useful is probably to try a couple of the decent-looking ones on a screen...

Euro2008 final score championship match

Spain defeats Germany to end a 44 year drought of earning a football championship, and I watched the entire game in an Irish pub overrun by Spainards.

George Carlin

An inspiring comedic genius passed away a few days ago, and will certainly be missed but thanks for the laughs and food for thought through your comedy.

New Graphic

While hanging out in Dublin I made sure before I skipped town again that I’d drop by the new design studio of my former LCC classmates and see what’s percolating with the Irish trifecta of Diarmuid, Dave and Jamie.

Powerscourt

What a stressful day, but in the end I did have some things to be cheerful about like visiting the famous Powerscourt near Bray, or “Bray-jieng” as some of the locals refer to it as.

Queen of Tarts

Dave did a bang-up job of getting me lost trying to find Jamie’s flat, in the rain no less, but at least I got to eat at Elephant & Castle’s to ease the pain of that debacle.

Willie Randolph axed

New York Mets Manager Willie Randolph was fired today. I think it’s a lot of b.s. but the Mets feel that a change needs to happen and that this was to move to make. Expect that the did it in a less than classy way for a classy type person…buy firing him after a west [...]

Hillary Clinton is out of the race, or is she?!

I shutter at the thought of Hillary Clinton as the V.P. candidate for Barack Obama’s presidential ticket, sorry but I just don’t see how that match-up would work.

Lakers vs. Celtics classic video game

The Lakers matchup against the Celtics in the NBA finals once again and as much as I’m a K.G. fan I shutter at the thought of Boston winning another professional sporting championship title.

Tube Booze Ban

Recently elected mayor of London Boris Johnson will issue a ban on public drinking on the Tube and other TfL transport services starting today at midnight today, so last night a bunch of booze-savvy protesters took the opportunity to ride the tube intelligently inebriated one last time in which I participated and observed with my buddy Matt.
