Tim Russert

Tim Russert R.I.P.

We lost a great one today.

He was 58 years young, and had just gotten back from a family trip to Italy to celebrate his son’s college graduation. Every politician knew they had to go through Tim Russert and “Meet the Press” in order to gain any viability in their campaigns. He was the guy you could trust would ask the tough questions and not accept the b.s. answers. He’ll be missed, especially since he was one of the few truly substantive journalist in the mainstream media.

Time Magazine has a great 10 Questions for Tim Russert feature on their website that you should look at if you admire the man as much as I do.

I have never been taken aback at the loss of a public figure, the way that I was hurt at his passing. It is very rare in these days that there are stand up guys.

RIP sir.

in retrospect, I came across the 10 questions the Monday following his passing.
