C’mon, C’mon!

No question that Team USA dominated their game against Greece today from the 2nd quarter on and earned a feather in their “Redeem Team” quest in this summer’s Olympics in Beijing. Baby Shaq didn’t quite burn us this time around, the tempo of the game wasn’t slow enough for the Greeks to capitalize on and the U.S. squad did a much better job with their jump shots this game, but can still improve in that area for sure.

We owed Greece revenge for them upsetting us back in the 2006 FIBA tournament and today we served it nicely while improving to 3-0 in our group. Next up is Spain, the current defending world champs, who are also 3-0 in group play. Marc & Pao Gasol you are marked men. Alvaro, mi compañero, where you’s at brother?!

In other Olympic basketball related news, there are rumors flying around that some members of the men’s team are ordering “Chinese take-out” (think The Police song “Roxanne”) to kill off the extra time between games so if Team USA loses, now you know exactly why. BTW, I can just see it now, somewhere Carmelo Anthony is telling the local Chinese tabloid rags to “stop snitching”.

Also, Jason Kidd seems to be up to his old ways and was apparently hitting on some other [married] Olympians. Meanwhile, the look on LeBron James’s face in this photo is priceless.
