Beijing 2008
Team USA's Dwight Howard defends against Spain's Pau Gasol
Box Score: USA 119, Spain 82

I’m a bit behind on my “Redeem Team” trash talking as my computer was out of commission this past weekend, so bear with me as I try to catch up, first with Spain: AIDIOS MUNDO DE CAMPEONES!

Don’t get me wrong, I like the Spanish national team as they play really solid fundamental ball, but what a statement for Team USA to beat them by 37 points! I tried watching the game here in London, but to no avail since Saturday was also the same day the English Football schedule began so consequently all the local pubs didn’t give a flip about the Olympics, let alone USA Basketball, so I couldn’t watch the game. F ‘n yardies!

Team USA's LeBron James defends against Germany's Dirk Nowitzki
Box Score: Germany 57, USA 106

When I do get my computer back it’s only AFTER the U.S. squad completely destroyed the German national team lead by Dirk Nowitzki and sent them home to an early exit eliminating them from the quaterfinal round! Not even another NBA player Chris Kaman of the L.A. Clippers with a recently granted German citizenship could help the Germans out:

LeBron James dunking over Chris Kaman in Beijing

Speaking of Kaman, he has an interesting story of how he got to participate in the Olympics this summer and why he’ll NEVER represent the USA in any future international basketball competition. Don’t laugh, it’s only hypothetical. Personally, I think it’s great he got to enjoy his summer in Beijing instead of some boring summer basketball camp stateside.
