Recently published in New York Magazine was an excerpt of a new book titled Game Change, by John Heilemann and Mark Halper, regarding the U.S Presidential election of 2008, and in particular the fall from grace of former U.S. Senator John Edwards. It touches upon Edward’s extramarital affair during his second Presidential bid and the fallout within his campaign staff from it all, including insight into how his wife Elizabeth dealt with it all. It’s a definitely an insightful read so go check it out.
What’s also noteworthy of that article are the illustrations presented with it that were done by Nathan Fox. And they look fabulous! Certainly has a comic-book look to them all, but nonetheless they’re very impressive in depicting the emotions in each scene and the coloring just adds to tension laced throughout the visual narratives. I never heard of this artist before but I’m looking forward to seeing more of his work down the road.
