Ten years in the making, I randomly bumped into an old college friend while hanging down in Chelsea last night. Just as I was beginning to sip on a pint over at the Half King bar & restuarant (great beer & music there) that was when Alison Malone spotted me out in the crowd, exclaiming “JAMIE, IS THAT YOU?!” At first I thought to myself “who in the world…” and then it rapidly dawned on me that it was Ali from MCAD! I couldn’t help but think to myself the rest of the time how we ever lost touch in the first place? Really, I’m still puzzled by that fact. But as Ali remarked about it later “it was how the universe meant for it to be”.

Our conversation was brief since she and her boyfriend Kyle were heading back home, but not without exchanging contact information and conducting a lighting quick catchup chat about what’s being going on with each other this past decade, literally. Time really does fly by. By all accounts Ali seems to be doing well, looked great and still has that upbeat energy I always liked about her. I’m really looking forward to chatting with Ali some more in the days ahead and checking out their letterpress studio. Her boy is into Gocco too, sweet.
